"Drift Themes connects four iterations and elaborations of one initial seed (recorded as a leftover for our unreleased follow-up album). While written as a stand-alone song, so many ideas spawned from its initial creation.
What if the end went on forever?
What if the song birthed another song?
Can the song be reimagined in a way that feels continuous/complementary to it's origin?
Can the sonic weight be shifted in a cohesive manner?
We hope for this release to be viewed as one long piece, with each track providing a chapter mark along it's journey. In some ways, this was the hardest release to finish. Spread out by thousands of miles and recorded in small chunks, I'm surprised we figured out a way to finish this. Determination and love conquers all."
